Privacy Policy

Breath U respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Breath U mobile application ("Breath U" or the "App"). Breath U is a product of Interproperties B.V., registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 34237697.

1. We keep your data private

Breath U is designed with privacy in mind. We do not require you to create an account to use the core functionality of the App, and we do not collect personal information such as your name, address, phone number or email address through the App. We do not collect your breathing data. Information about your breathing sessions, breath-hold times, recovery times or other exercise results is not collected by Breath U unless a specific feature explicitly informs you otherwise.

2. No tracking or advertising

Breath U does not use your activity for cross-app or cross-website tracking. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies within the App. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and Breath U does not use your data for targeted advertising.

3. Information stored on your device

Certain preferences, settings or session-related information may be stored locally on your device to make the App function correctly. Unless explicitly stated otherwise in the App, this information remains on your device and is not transmitted to Breath U or Interproperties B.V. Removing the App may also remove information that is stored locally by the App.

4. Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your explicit permission, Breath U can read heart-rate data from Apple Health to show how your body responds to a session. This access is read-only, can be withdrawn at any time in the Health app, and health data never leaves your device. Breath U does not write to Apple Health, and health data is never used for advertising or shared with third parties.

5. Technical information

Like most mobile applications, Breath U may rely on technical services provided by Apple and the operating system to distribute and operate the App. These services may process limited technical information independently in accordance with their own privacy policies. Breath U does not use this information to build advertising profiles or track you across other apps or websites.

6. Support communications

If you contact us directly at support@breathu.app, we will receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address and the contents of your message. We use this information only to respond to your question, provide support or resolve an issue. We retain support communications only for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes or where required by law.

7. Third-party links

Breath U may contain links to external websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security or content of third-party websites or services. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit or use them.

8. Children's privacy

Breath U does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that personal information from a child has been collected improperly, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information that we process, including rights to access, correct or delete that information. Because Breath U is designed to collect very little personal information, in many cases we may not hold any personal information about you that can be accessed or deleted. For privacy-related requests, you can contact us at support@breathu.app. European privacy rules require organisations that process personal data to explain clearly who they are, why information is processed and how individuals can exercise their rights.

10. Data security

Where we do process personal information, for example when you contact our support team, we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect that information. No electronic communication or storage system can, however, be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when Breath U introduces new functionality or when legal requirements change. The latest version will always show the applicable effective date at the top of this page. If future versions of Breath U introduce features that collect or process additional information, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
